Meet Georgia, a dynamic and engaging performer, session vocalist, and accomplished producer. Holding a First Class BA(Hons) in Professional Musicianship from the prestigious Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM) at Sussex University, Georgia is not only classically trained in vocals and piano (achieving Grade 8 with ABRSM), but she is also a self-taught multi-instrumentalist.
Beyond her academic achievements, Georgia's passion for teaching shines through. Recognising the need for educators who can tailor their approach to individual students, she has curated a thriving online academy. Specialising in singing, piano, accordion, whistle, songwriting, production, and music theory, Georgia's diverse skill set allows her to connect with students on a deeper level.
With experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools, as well as lecturing at universities on "songwriting" and the nuances of "making a living as a musician," Georgia's teaching philosophy is grounded in adaptability. She collaborates with various exam boards, including ABRSM, RSL, MTB & Trinity, and draws on her extensive background in folk, Indian, commercial pop and jazz music to offer a holistic approach to artistic development.
As a freelance musician, teacher, and artist, Georgia's accolades include an invitation to the artist-in-residence program at Halsway Manor, a BBC Radio 2 Horizon Award nomination, and winning the Future of Young Folk Award. Her performances have graced renowned venues across England, including The Albert Hall.
Today, Georgia brings her expertise to aspiring musicians as an online vocal coach, ceilidh band leader, and DJ. Beyond her musical pursuits, she finds joy in sports and weightlifting.
